Frequently
Asked Questions
What
size belt should I order?
A:
Typically you would order two sizes bigger than your waist size
(ex: W50/B52). At Fawcett Big Men's Clothing we have our belts
hand made and designed so you order the same size as your waist
size. If you wear a 60 pant, then a 60 belt will fit perfectly.
I
have a stain on my tie, how can I clean it?
A:
Most
ties we carry are made of silk, therefore it is strongly
recommended to have your tie dry cleaned.
I
have a stain on my suit pant should I take my complete suit to be
dry-cleaned?
A:
Yes, you should always
dry-clean your suit together, if you do not you risk having the
colour on your suit mismatched.
If
My Shirt is 100% cotton, will it shrink?
A:
Most quality dress shirts are pre-shrunk. There might be some
minor shrinkage; however, not sufficient enough to alter the
sizing.
Why
do most of your pants come with an un-finished or uncut hem?
A:
Most of our quality dress pants have unfinished or uncut
bottoms. We usually suggest an experienced tailor hemming your
pants with your dress shoe on in order to achieve a correct inseam.
Cuffs are a personal preference on all pants; however, we usually
recommend flat front pants without cuffs.
Do
you send out Catalog's?
A:
At this time, Fawcett Big Men's Clothing does not print any
catalogs for ordering. Shopping can be done through our Web site,
www.BigMensClothing.ca or by shopping
in person if you are around our area.
May
I place my order by telephone?
A:
Yes. You are more than welcome to call us at 506.854.8152 and
ask questions or place orders.
What
are some common terms for Dress Shirt Collars?
A:
Point collar – found
on most dress shirts they simply come with a pointed collar.
Spread
Collar – The point length is 3"
approximately, usually with stay pockets and the collar is
quarter-stitched. Since the spread is so wide, most knots have no
difficulty in fitting.
Hidden
Button – Always with buttons under the collar that
attach to the shirt to give this straight collar a sporty look.
Button
Down – the two collar points are held in place by
small buttons. Typically worn with suits but not recommended with a
suit.
Tab
Collar – It fits high on the neck with a small
loop attached to both points which is fastened across under the tie
to hold the points down
